Sleep and ur immune(免疫)system


The immune system prtects the bdy frm diseases and infectins(傳染). Nt getting enugh seep hurts this prtective system.


The May Clinic is a research hspital in the United States. Its website explains that when we sleep ur bdies prduce prteins(蛋白質(zhì)) that supprt seep and help us fight infectins. They add that infectin-fighting antibdies(抗體) are reduced during perids when yu dn't get enugh sleep.


A new study frm the University f Washingtn in the U.S. seems t cnfirm this. Dr. Nathaniel Watsn was the lead writer f the study. Watsn says his study shws that the immune system wrks best when the bdy gets enugh sleep. Fr the study, Watsn and his team studied 11 pairs f twins. This is an imprtant difference frm ther sleep studies. Other research did nt study twins. Researchers fund that the twin wh slept less had a weaker immune system.
