On this particular mrning, everything seemed strangely silent. I lked ut f the windw and realized why: There was a thick blanket f snw n the rad and it was still snwing heavily. I panicked. Clearly nw I’d have t g by train. I telephned the statin and asked what time the next train dwn t Lndn wuld be. I was infrmed that all services had been cancelled.
