I stared at Mm and listened eagerly. She shared her wn stries f failure and disappintment and hw she turned them int pprtunities fr grwth. “Every rejectin is a lessn,” she said. With her guidance, I spent the next three mnths imprving my skills. I practiced debates, read extensively t stay updated n current events, and sught feedback frm teachers and peers. I even started a debate club after schl t gain mre experience.
I did make it when a secnd chance came 3 mnths later. When the team needed an extra member fr an upcming turnament, they cnsidered my dedicatin and imprvement. This time, I was ready.
