Researchers at the Nrwegian University f Science and Technlgy asked 36 students t write dwn infrmatin either by hand r with a keybard(鍵盤). They lked at the students’ brain activity and fund that their brain cnnectivity(聯結) patterns were much mre elabrate(復雜的) when they were writing by hand than when they were using a keybard. Past research has fund that the cnnectivity is s imprtant that it can help the memries and recrd new infrmatin.
The researchers said that seeing infrmatin and feeling the mvement f the bdy might encurage brain cnnectivity and help us learn. One f the researchers, Audrey van der Meer, said that writing letters by hand als helps children learn the difference between very similar letters like“b” and“d”, because their bdies get t feel what it's like t make the shapes.
“It's imprtant fr students t keep learning hw t write by hand. Hwever, it's als imprtant fr them t knw what kind f writing is best fr what situatin,” said Audrey. “There is sme evidence (證據) that students learn mre and remember better when taking class ntes by hand, while using a cmputer with a keybard may be mre practical when they are ding lng- frm writing.”

On May 24, 2021, 46-year-ld Zhang Hng reached the tp f Qmlangma, which made him the first blind persn frm Asia t cnquer (征服) the wrld’s highest muntain. Erik Weihenmayer and Andy Hlzer made it in 2001 and 2017. They are the nly three blind muntaineers(登山運動員) t have climbed Qmlangma. Befre heading fr Qmlangma, Zhang had cnquered three muntains abve 6,000 meters.
Brn in Chngqing, Zhang became blind at the age f 21 due t glaucma(青光眼). Bth his father and uncle lst their sight because f the same disease, s Zhang knew exactly what life wuld be like fr blind peple frm an early age. He lst hpe and wanted t die. But luckily he was saved by his wife. “I felt s hpeless then. But my wife was always there and encuraged me. Withut her by my side, I culdn’t have pulled myself tgether,” Zhang recalled. Later, Zhang became a blind masseur(按摩師) and in 2012 he mved t Tibet.
In 2015, by accident, he heard f the blind American muntaineer Weihenmayer, wh climbed Qmlangma. This gave him the idea f giving it a try. He then started t climb the muntains tgether with his guide. He did a lt f training, including rck climbing and walking n snw and ice.
