In a 2012 study, Baz Keysar, a prfessr at the University f Chicag in the US, led an experiment n the relatinship between freign languages and peple's way f thinking.
In the experiment, peple were asked t make a chice: Just take ne pund r take a 50 percent chance f winning 2.50 punds. When given this chice in their native language, mst peple tk the safe ptin f nly getting ne pund. In anther study published this year, Keysar and his team did an experiment in which participants were given a series f related wrds like "dream", "snze", "bed" and "rest". Later, when asked which wrds they remembered hearing, peple were mre likely t mistakenly remember "sleep", which was nt n the list, in their native language.
