In a rare event, the winners' names were leaked t the Swedish media befre the fficial annuncement. But Bawendi said he'd been sund asleep, s he didn't hear anything abut it.
Quantum dts are particles (粒子) that are s incredibly small that their size actually starts t affect their prperties. Fr example, blue quantum dts and red quantum dts can be made frm the exact same material, with the nly difference being the size f the particle itself. (The blue quantum dts are smaller than red nes.)
In fact, changing the size can alter (改變) many different prperties beynd just clr, which means that quantum dts culd be useful fr a variety f applicatins, including building better slar panels and perhaps even creating fuel by using sunlight.
