As I gt ready t sing the last verse, I saw that Daddy had tears streaming dwn his face. I just lst it. I std there with trembling vice, feeling like flating in the cean f the tears. Gathering all my strength, I walked int the audience t share Daddy’s embrace as I sang thrugh the ending f the sng. And thse years withut an “I lve yu” r a hug were all redeemed fr us that night right there n natinal TV as millins f viewers shared that priceless mment. It was a hug that was sixteen years verdue. That’s the mment that culdn’t be taken away frm me.
