As I saw his empty, utstretched hand, the water tk me away. I was a strng swimmer but I had n ptin but t sht dwn rapids. Shcked, I gasped fr breath and tried t keep my head abve water.
It was extremely dark but I culd just make ut trees. As I passed, I reached ut and grabbed tw slim branches, hlding tightly. I hugged the tree with my knees. My plan was just t hld n. Nt knwing if Paul and Silas were safe, I thught that if they did survive, they wuld try t save me. I wndered wh wuld cme t my rescue.

Eventually, the rescue team managed t steer a bat t my shulder, and fur strng arms lifted me int the bat and transferred me t a safe place. Mixed with raindrps and tears, I felt a sense f relief and safety.
As I rse t my feet, I hugged my rescuers. With tears streaming dwn my face, I expressed my heart-felt gratitude t the heres.
