On the afternn f September 21, 2023, the Shenzhu-16 astrnauts gave their first science lecture (講課) frm the Tiangng space statin t students arund the wrld.
During the 48-minute lecture, the astrnauts JingHaipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haicha first greeted students and shwed their living and wrk areas. They als shared their experiences in space.
The astrnauts then perfrmed several experiments (實(shí)驗(yàn)) t shw physical phenmena (現(xiàn)象) in the special envirnment inside the space statin. In ne experiment, Zhu and Gui usedthe ping-png bat and water balls t shw the influence f liquid surface tensin (液體表面張力)under weightless cnditins. In anther experiment, the tw lit a candle t shw hw it was burning. They invited students t d similar experiments n the grund t find the differences.
Five classrms were set n the grund, including ne at the gym f Beihang University in Beijing. Mre than 2,400 students and teachers frm the university and ther schls attended the grund class at the gym. “I felt very privileged (榮幸的) t watch the lecture, which shwed ur natin’s pwer in science and technlgy,” said Li Baixuan, a student frm Beihang Experimental Primary Schl. “The astrnauts shwed us what science and technlgy can achieve. I wish t fly t space smeday like them.”
The lecture nt nly reminded peple hw imprtant it is t develp space technlgy, but als encuraged many children t develp an interest in science and even dream f becming great scientists.
