Evelyn Topper was leaving a coffee shop with her granddaughter Mikayla Gounard when she dropped her wallet. She did not realize it until she got home. Topper went into a panic as soon as she saw her wallet was gone. She had cash as well as all of her credit(信用)and medical cards in it.
The next day, Topper received a phone call that saved her confidence in the world.
Sean Curry, a homeless man, found the wallet in a dustbin(垃圾箱)behind the coffee shop. The cash was gone, but all the other things were in it. Though Curry had been homeless for years, he still didn’t want to take the wallet for himself. He tried to return it.
Topper praised Curry for what he had done, but he didn’t think he had done anything unusual. He told NBC he gave the wallet back because he had always been taught that way at home.
Curry wasn’t expecting anything for this, but Topper’s granddaughter Mikayla Gounard had other ideas. She’d already planned a party for her upcoming 12th birthday. And instead of presents, she’d asked for donations that would be given to a charity. Gounard hadn’t chosen a charity yet. However, when she learned what Curry had done, she knew exactly where she wanted her donations to go.
On the day of her party, Gounard placed a collection box next to a photo of Curry. By the time the party was over, she’d raised several hundred dollars.
When Gounard and her mother met up with Curry the next day to give him the money, he couldn’t believe what the girl had done for him. Gounard explained she’d simply done the right thing like Curry.

You may feel you’re most comfortable at home, but there are dangers, too. You may get a cut from a kitchen knife or burn your hand when taking something from the oven. Usually, you can treat these common injuries at home.
Before touching the wound, wash your hands carefully with soap and water. This helps get any dirt off your hands. I’m sure you don’t want to add dirt to the wound that may infect(感染)it later.
If the wound is bleeding, you’ll need to stop it. Just press a clean cloth(布) on the wound. While keeping the wound covered, lift it above the level of your heart. This helps stop the bleeding.
Once the bleeding has stopped, you need to wash the wound. Do this by holding the cut under running water. The water will help wash dirt out of the wound. Once the wound is clean, wash the skin around it with soap and water. Lightly press the area with a clean cloth to dry the area.
Get protection. Use some medicine on the wound. This helps keep the wound clean and keep infection away. Then cover the wound for protection. This cover is sometimes called a dressing. Every day, you need to reuse the medicine and change the dressing.
Watch for infection. When you change the dressing, look for signs of infection in the wound, such as swelling (腫), redness, and more pain. As time goes by, your wound will develop a scab (痂). That’s the natural way it protects itself.
Sometimes you’ll need to see your doctor to treat a wound. For example, the wound won’t stop bleeding or you can’t get all the dirt out of it.

It was Saturday yesterday. Mum and I were just going out to the supermarket when it began to rain heavily. We had to stay at home, and I felt quite bored after reading for so long. Soon Mum got a good idea. She suggested teaching me to make dumplings. I thought it could be fun, so I happily said OK. Mum cut the meat into pieces while I prepared green onions, tomatoes and carrots. Later, she cut them into pieces too. Then Mum showed me how to mix all these with salt, oil and some other things. When everything was almost ready, Dad came back home from work. He took back the fried chicken and a big bottle of orange juice with him. Together, the three of us made lots of dumplings. And then we boiled them. They were so delicious that I ate more than twenty. It was really a meaningful and interesting experience for me!

Benefits of Mind Maps
Mind maps are a fun, helpful and creative way to organize information. If you’ve ever built one, you may have experienced the benefits of them.
Firstly, they make difficult things easier to understand. With their help, you can see each part of something and the relationships between them clearly. Secondly, they make learning full of fun. Building mind maps is like drawing—you’re making artwork. Thirdly, building mind maps is a process of creating, which improves your creativity. You find out the main ideas, and then draw lines to connect one idea with another. And finally, you make a mind map that shows the structure of something. Lastly, they provide a creative way of thinking and dealing with problems, and also a great way to remember information.
Just have a try, and you may probably fall in love with it.
