You probably haven’t experienced an earthquake, but I have. It was about ten years ago. I was ten years old then. It was around noon when the earthquake came. Since it was a Saturday, I didn’t need to go to school. I had just finished my homework and was watching TV with my dad while my mother was cooking lunch. Suddenly , the table and chairs started shaking. We didn’t know it was an earthquake and continued watching TV. But about two minutes later it started to shake harder and we realized it was an earthquake. Dad and I hid under the table while Mom went to hide under a bed. The photos were falling down from the walls. When the earthquake finally stopped , my parents asked me to run with them to the playground at our school. When we got there , most of our neighbors had been there. We feared the building would fall , so we just stayed on the playground far away from buildings and cars and spent the night there. We experienced several aftershocks during that night. Luckily , no one died in that earthquake and only a few people got injured.

A. admiration欽佩;B. kindness仁慈;C. intelligence智力;D. celebration慶祝。根據(jù)上文“The____15____that was given to us by that kindhearted person ____16____into a family that was much more needy than us. (那個善良的人給我們的祝福延伸到了一個比我們更貧困的家庭)”,以及下文“Because of her generosity, I was____18____to help others as well even for just a day.
A. nervous緊張的;B. afraid害怕的;C. able能干的;D. hesitant猶豫的。根據(jù)上文“I immediately went to the ____10____ to buy them food. When I handed them two small bags of food, I felt a ____11____ feeling in my chest upon seeing the mother smiling with ____12____.
A. understand理解;B. applaud鼓掌;C. volunteer自愿做;D. apologize道歉。根據(jù)上文“The____15____that was given to us by that kindhearted person ____16____into a family that was much more needy than us. 故選A項。
A. existence存在;B. struggle奮斗;C. graduation畢業(yè);D. birthday生日。根據(jù)上文“My____5____plan was to keep some of it and use it to buy a small Peppa Pig cake for my ____6____who is turning 3 this 4th of August. 1. They→We3. 在divided前加were4. rubbishes→rubbish5. throwing→thrown
6. remove→removed7. and→but8. How→What9. truly→true 10.an→a
故將last前的on刪除。
照應(yīng)前文“To better work for the community, our class organized a voluntary activity on last Saturday.” 故將They改為We。
be divided into...
故將and改為but。
故將How改為What。
????Struggle Hard
As we all know, life is full of struggle which is also the driving force of all life conditions.
No matter who and what you are, you need to strive to achieve your goals. There are many examples rising to fame through constant struggles.
Despite the loss of her sight and hearing, Helen Keller never lost the hope for life. Instead, she struggled to learn sign language, and eventually was admitted into Harvard University. Stephen Jobs, abandoned by his parents, couldn't afford to go to university for lack of money. However, he struggled hard and strived for his dream, never giving up. Undoubtedly, his dream came true and he became the founder of Apple Computer Incorporation.
