An Interesting Jb
Je Brwn has a very interesting jb.He is a plice artist. Sme peple see crimes and then talk t Je. They tell him what the criminal lks like. Then Je draws a picture f the criminal, and the plice put it in newspapers and n televisin t find him.
He wants t draw a gd picture f each criminal, but this jb is smetimes difficult. Many peple dn’t always see things the same way s they may describe the same persn differently. Als, they dn’t always remember well. “The criminal is f medium build and yung. He has lng straight brwn hair and big eyes,” says ne wman.
Anther wman says, “He is tall and thin, and he has curly blnd hair. He’s abut thirty years ld.” In the end, the real criminal is a shrt and heavy ld man, and he has shrt black hair!

在英語(yǔ)中,表達(dá)“一名警察”時(shí),要用a pliceman /plicewman;在英語(yǔ)中, 表達(dá)“在報(bào)紙上”用in newspapers,不用n;在英語(yǔ)中, 表達(dá)“在電視里”,用n televisin, 而不是in televisin。
2. Many peple dn’t always see things the same way s they may describe the same persn differently. 人們并不是總以相同的方式看待事物, 所以他們會(huì)將同一個(gè)人描述的不一樣。 (1) same 和 different 是一對(duì)反義詞,前者 表示相同的,后者表示不同的。
same 用作形容詞時(shí),常用來(lái)修飾名詞,且前面常加定冠詞 the same way 相同的方法,相同的方式 the same persn 同一個(gè)人 differently 是 different 的副詞形式,在句 中修飾動(dòng)詞。 e.g. Bys and girls may behave differently. 男孩兒和女孩兒的表現(xiàn)可能不同。
(2) peple 和 persn peple 表示“人,人們”,為復(fù)數(shù)名詞; persn 為單個(gè)的人,有復(fù)數(shù)形式 persns。 e.g. tw persns 2個(gè)人 He is a very nice persn. 他是一個(gè)很好的人。 There are a lt f peple in the bus. 公共汽車上有很多人。
3. Als, they dn’t always remember well. 而且,他們并不總是記得牢靠。(1)當(dāng)als用于句首時(shí),其后往往有逗號(hào)與句 子的剩余部分隔開(kāi)。這時(shí),als用于修飾整 個(gè)句子,相當(dāng)于漢語(yǔ)中“同時(shí);還;而且”。e.g. Mr. Feng’s class is interesting. Als, he makes it easy. 馮老師的課很有趣。同時(shí), 他還把課講得簡(jiǎn)單易懂。
als也常表示“也”,往往位于句中動(dòng)詞be之后,行為動(dòng)詞之前。e.g. My father can speak English. He can als speak French. 我爸爸會(huì)說(shuō)英語(yǔ),他也會(huì)講法語(yǔ)。 Jane’s brther is twelve. She is als twelve. They are twins. 簡(jiǎn)的哥哥12歲, 她也12歲。他們是孿生兄妹。
(2) remember 作動(dòng)詞,意為“牢記,記住, 記得”。① remember t d sth. 表示“記住要去做某 事”,而remember ding sth.則表示“記得 做過(guò)某事”。② remember后面還可跟that從句。e.g. Remember t take an umbrella with yu. I remember putting the key n the table. I remember that he likes wearing a big hat.
