My wife and I ccasinally g t a nice restaurant t eat.My wife’s mther, lives with us and she stays with the children. This makes it very easy fr us t g ut fr the evening.
Last week we went t the restaurant in a new htel. We had a wnderful meal. First,we had sup and a salad. Then Helen,my wife,had muttn with peas and carrts,and I had beefsteak with ptates.Fr dessert,I had sme ice cream and Helen had fresh fruit. We had several cups f cffee after we finished eating. The fd was delicius,the quantity was large,and it wasn’t t expensive.
Our children dn’t like t eat in restaurants because they have t sit and be quiet fr a lng time. They wuld rather g t their grandmther’s farm. Their grandmther—my mther prepares everything they like. She usually has fried chicken,crn,and ht biscuits with hney. She always serves plenty f chclate ice cream and cake fr dessert.
I’m always surprised that my father desn’t weigh a lt mre when I see hw much he eats.But he wrks very hard n the farm frm abut 5 ’clck in the mrning until it gets dark in the evening.
When my parents visit us in the city,we usually take them t a restaurant. I knw they enjy it, but my father always eats smething else after he gets hme. The quantity may be large in the restaurant,but it is still nt large enugh fr a hungry farmer.
